![]() Some would consider me and my generation relics and inconvenient ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like those i described earlier is a sign of the times. I am from the era that grew up during the reign of the NES. However when blind, fanatical, lazy, bored-ass gamers throw their money at the publishers or developers without stepping back to look at the bigger picture concerning the implication of business models that nickel and dime us and require us to do this and that before we can enjoy a product WE PAYED for, something is very wrong with this picture and this is a perfect example and result of the price of such naiveness so gamers deserve some of the blame for the state of things. They try to make us feel privileged that they bring games and other products to us and that we MUST deal with any inconveniences, pay walls, dlc, constant internet connections and any other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to persuade us that they are running the show and we should keep our mouths shut and our wallets open to encourage their habits. They have their best interests in mind, not yours. ![]() Publishers and developers are, at the end of the day, businesses. It is a shame it took 3 years for it to happen. If more people was willing to not purchase any of the products ubisoft released with this draconian drm, this crap would of been fazed out long ago along with "preorder bonuses"that include content that should of just been put in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game in the first place, day-one dlc and online passes(Project Ten-Dollar by those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at EA). It feels great to stick to my guns and not support a practice that deliberately punishes paying customers. will find out after the game is finished downloading and installed. I am not sure about the status concerning the dlc that are not maps. It is a start and hopefully they will bring the dlc in line with the base game so that 100% of the game is playable offline instead of 80%. In this case the drm has been removed from the base game but the dlc maps are still locked behind a constant internet connection. I have held out for nearly three years but i promised long ago that i would purchase the game once the drm was removed.
